Description

This Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head came out of a low-damage donor vehicle and was tested before it went on the shelf, not after you paid for it. It is in stock in East London, carries a 3-month warranty and ships anywhere in South Africa in two to five working days.

Price is R5,440, down from R6,800 while the 20% discount runs, including 15% VAT, with a full tax invoice on every sale. Send us your VIN or engine code on WhatsApp before you pay and we will confirm the fit at no charge, so you are not guessing about which Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head you actually need.

What you get with this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head

  • The cylinder head casting, pressure-tested cold and hot
  • A straightness check across the deck face
  • The stock code recorded on your invoice
  • Photographs of the head before it is packed

The head is supplied bare unless you ask for it dressed. Head bolts, gasket set, cam belt or chain and any machining are quoted separately – tell us what you need and we will price it with the head.

Checking fitment before you pay for this cylinder head

Most of the trouble people have with second-hand parts starts here. The same model year can carry more than one cylinder head, and a photograph on a listing tells you nothing about which one you are looking at. So we check it for you before money changes hands, because getting the right Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head the first time is a lot cheaper than a return.

Send us three things on WhatsApp and we will come back the same working day: your VIN, the code stamped on the unit you are replacing, and a photo of the old part where you can see the mounting points. The VIN is on the licence disc, on the plate at the base of the windscreen, and usually stamped into the body under the bonnet or in the door shut.

If it is not a match, we say so. That is the whole point of the check – we would rather lose the sale than take back a unit that was never going to fit. Send your VIN through here or message the yard directly.

How this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head was tested

Every used Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head we list goes through the same four steps before it is photographed and priced. It is slower than the way most yards work, and it is the reason our prices are not the lowest in the country.

  1. The donor vehicle is run up before anything comes out, so we hear the unit working rather than guessing from a compression figure alone.
  2. The unit is tested on the bench – compression and leak-down on an engine, every gear through the gate on a gearbox, pressure-tested cold and hot on a cylinder head.
  3. The code is read off the casting and written onto the stock record, which is what ends up on your invoice.
  4. It is photographed as it stands, with no cleaning up for the camera, and only then does the Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head go on the shelf.

We do not publish mileage on stripped or imported units. We cannot verify an odometer reading and neither can anyone else selling you one, so we leave the number off rather than print something we cannot stand behind. The full testing process is written up here.

Warranty, payment and delivery

This Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head carries a 3-month warranty from the invoice date, covering internal mechanical failure – block, crank, bearings, gears, shafts and valve seats. Ancillaries, sensors, injectors and turbos sit outside that cover, because they wear on their own schedule.

The one condition is that it goes in at a proper workshop and you keep the fitment invoice. An RMI-accredited workshop is the safest route, and their invoice is all we ask for if you ever need to claim. Full warranty terms are here.

Payment is EFT or card, and we will take a 50% deposit to hold a unit while your workshop books you in. Every sale gets a full VAT invoice. Your Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head is delivered in two to five working days door to door inside South Africa – engines and gearboxes go on a pallet, heads and rims by courier – and five to ten working days to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho. Orders over R25,000 ship free inside South Africa. Delivery and cross-border detail is here.

Collection from the yard in East London is free by arrangement. Bring the old unit with you and we will put the two side by side on the counter before you load anything.

Questions we get asked about this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head

Will this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head fit my Pajero?

Send us your VIN and the code off the unit you are replacing, and we will confirm it before you pay. The same model year can carry more than one cylinder head, so we check rather than assume. The fitment check is free and usually comes back the same working day.

What does the 3-month warranty actually cover?

Internal mechanical failure – block, crank, bearings, gears, shafts and valve seats. It does not cover ancillaries, sensors, injectors or turbos. The unit has to be fitted by a qualified workshop and you need to keep the fitment invoice, which is the only document we ask for on a claim.

Do you publish the mileage on this cylinder head?

No. We do not publish odometer figures on stripped or imported units because we cannot verify them, and neither can anyone else selling them to you. We would rather hand you a tested Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head with a warranty on it than a number nobody can prove.

How long does delivery take to Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban?

Two to five working days, door to door, anywhere in South Africa. Engines and gearboxes travel on a pallet; cylinder heads and rims go by courier. Orders over R25,000 ship free inside South Africa, and we send a tracking reference as soon as it is collected.

Can I pay a deposit and collect later?

Yes. A 50% deposit holds the unit while your workshop books you in, and the balance is due before it ships or before you collect. Payment is by EFT or card and every sale gets a full VAT invoice. Collection from the yard in East London is free by arrangement.

Is a second hand cylinder head a safe buy?

It is, if the seller tested it and will put that in writing. A Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head that has been run and checked is a different thing to one pulled off a wreck and photographed. Ask for the code off the unit, ask what was done to check it, and ask what the warranty covers. We run every cylinder head before it comes out, record the code on your invoice, and back it for 3 months once a workshop has fitted it.

These sit on the shelf next to this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head, are in stock now, and ship on the same pallet if you take more than one, which saves you a second delivery charge.

Buying a Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head without getting burnt

Ask three questions of anyone selling you a cylinder head: what code is on the unit, what was done to test it, and what the warranty covers once it is fitted. A seller who can answer all three in writing is worth paying a bit more for. We put the code on the invoice for exactly that reason.

What to give your workshop when the cylinder head arrives

Send them the invoice with the code on it, the photographs from the listing, and the delivery note. A workshop that knows which cylinder head is coming can order gaskets and fluids before it lands, which usually takes a day or two off the job.

Buying this Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head from outside the Eastern Cape

Most of what leaves this yard goes to Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape, and a steady trickle crosses the border. You do not need to be in East London to buy a Mitsubishi Pajero cylinder head from us – the fitment check happens over WhatsApp and the unit ships to your workshop.
