How we test every part
Four steps, every unit, no exceptions. This is the page we point customers at when they ask why we cost more than the guy on Marketplace.
1. Donor selection
We buy low-damage, running vehicles — insurance write-offs, hail cars, rear-enders. If it did not start and drive onto the truck, the engine does not go on the shelf.
2. Test before removal
Engines are run up and checked for knock, smoke and oil pressure. Gearboxes are driven through every gear. Heads come off and go straight onto the pressure tester.
3. Code and photograph
Engine code, gearbox code and donor VIN are recorded against the SKU, and the actual unit is photographed — not a stock image of a clean one.
4. Fitment check before you pay
Send your VIN or engine code. We confirm the part matches your car before we take money, because the wrong engine code is the most expensive mistake in this trade.
