What is in each department of the shop

Six departments, and the quickest way in is usually the one that matches the part you are replacing.

Used engines is the biggest at 149 units, running from small hatchback motors up to 3.0-litre bakkie and SUV engines. Used gearboxes matches it unit for unit and covers manual, conventional automatic and DSG dual-clutch boxes.

Cylinder heads holds 149 castings, each pressure-tested cold and hot and checked for straightness, supplied bare unless you ask for them dressed. New engines and new gearboxes hold 20 factory-sealed units between them, still crated, with a 12-month warranty.

Alloy rims are sold in sets of four, checked on the balancer for buckle and run-out. Tool boxes covers site boxes, portable boxes and roller cabinets, and engine swap kits bundles a matched engine, gearbox and tool box at less than the three cost separately.

Searching the shop by engine code

The search box at the top of every page takes an engine code, a model name or one of our stock codes. Searching the code is the accurate way to do it, because a model name can return three different units while a code returns one.

Codes like 2KD-FTV, 4JJ1, P4AT, D4CB, HR16, N47, OM651, EA888 and CFNA all return results. So do plain model searches – Hilux, Ranger, Polo, Corolla – and stock codes in the format TY-ENG-TOY-HLX-2KD-USED-001, which is what appears on your invoice.

The code on your own vehicle is stamped into the block or casting, usually near the gearbox mating face on an engine. If you cannot find it, photograph the area and send it to us – we read these all day.

Filtering the shop by make, condition and budget

Three filters sit above the grid and they combine. Make narrows to one of the ten manufacturers we carry. Condition splits tested used stock from brand-new factory-sealed units. Budget caps the list at R15,000, R30,000 or R50,000, or flips it to show the most expensive first.

Sorting runs alphabetically by model or by price in either direction. If a combination returns nothing, clear one filter rather than all of them – it is usually the budget cap that is doing it.

Every listing shows the price including VAT, the condition, and whether the unit is in stock, which on this site always means physically in the yard.

Stock, restocking and order quantities

Everything in this shop is available to order, and we restock the fast-moving lines continuously as donor vehicles come through the yard. If more than one of something is on the shelf you can take the lot – there is no per-order limit.

A 50% deposit is still worth taking if your workshop needs a week to book you in, because it fixes the price and reserves the unit against your name. If a specific part is ever genuinely short, we tell you before you pay rather than quietly offering a substitute.

Stock turns over weekly as donor vehicles come through the yard, so the catalogue is refreshed constantly. If your model is not listed today, ask – it is often sitting in a car we have not stripped yet, and trade buyers can order several units at once.

Questions about ordering from the shop

Do I have to order online?

No. The cart works, but most orders here start on WhatsApp with a VIN and a photograph. Send those and we will confirm the fit, send an invoice and take payment by EFT or card.

How do I know the part will fit?

Send your VIN and the code off the old unit before you pay. We check it against the unit on the shelf and come back the same working day. The check is free and it is the step that prevents most returns.

What does delivery cost?

Orders over R25,000 ship free inside South Africa. Below that we quote on weight and destination. Engines and gearboxes travel on a pallet and cylinder heads and rims go by courier, two to five working days door to door.

Can I return something I ordered by mistake?

Seven days on an unopened, unfitted part. Once a unit has been opened or fitted, the warranty terms apply instead of a return.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes, every one of them, and a full tax invoice is issued on every sale. There are no call-for-price listings anywhere in this shop.

What you are not buying is the cheapest listing in the country. We do not compete on that and we will tell you so honestly – if price is the only factor, there is always someone cheaper, and you will usually find out why during the install.
